Meet the Staff
Owner and Principle Massage Therapist
David Abbott SMT, NMT, LMT
Hello and thank you for visiting Core Massage!
Core Massage is privately owned and local small business specializing in manual soft tissue rehabilitation and massage therapy.
I am passionate and skilled in treating client pain, dysfunction, and posture needs.
As a current faculty instructor in theory and technique at Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy, I dedicate attention inspiring students in their professional skills and in advancing bodywork techniques.
I have spent over 30 years as a competitive athlete and/or coach in swimming, running, cycling, volleyball, gymnastics, diving, soccer, and football. The exposure and success in a wide range of sports has given me a knowledge and understanding of body movement, training, competition demands, and performance. Combined with certifications and professional training in sports, medical, and neuromuscular modalities and over 30 years of hands-on learning, I use this knowledge, understanding, and experience to cater treatment sessions for all clients.
The human body is highly capable and active--I'm always fascinated by what the human body can do!
Regular massage has immediate and lasting benefits to increase the body's capability and maintain activity. Massage can warm up the body and muscles minutes before a competition or workout, as well quickly flush the body of toxins and metabolic waste built up within the muscles, lymph, and blood immediately afterwards permitting the body to recover faster.
I'm very passionate about bodywork and massage, and enjoy helping other people benefit from the health and wellness to be better athletes and maintain their active lifestyles.
Please reach out to our client and office coordinator if you are interested in scheduling with me!
Office & Patient/Client Coordinator
Miranda Terry B.A. Communication Studies
I am so excited to be apart of Core Massage. I have been working as an official scheduler and client and office coordinator since September of 2020.
Personally, I have been receiving massage therapy since I was in high school and I still see a massage therapist to this day. I especially benefited from massage therapy as an athlete in cross country and track and field from Elementary school through my time at college.
I absolutely love what I do and I truly enjoy making connections with all of our patients, clients, and therapists.
Starting in January of 2021, I am going to school to become a licensed massage therapist as well as a neuromuscular therapist. I know massage therapy is what I am destined to do; I deeply feel called to this field and I cannot wait to continue connecting with people involved in this arena.
Please contact me if you are interested in scheduling with one of our amazing therapists!
